Debra Laws is sister to Eloise Laws, Ronnie Laws and Hubert Laws.
In 1981 she signed to Elektra for 'Very Special', including 'On My Own' & 'Meant For You' (written by the under-rated David Lasley), produced by brothers Ronnie and Hubert.
She was also the lead vocalist on 'Family' (title track of an album for Hubert), and sang backing vocals with sister Eloise for Aquarian Dream on their classic 'You're A Star'.
Since her 1981 album 'Very Special', Debra has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, House Of Blues, The Berkley Jazz Festival and many other venues.
She can also be heard on the soundtrack albums of 'Heavenly Kid', 'Fighting Back', and 'Prison Dancer' (which she appears in).
Debra has also shown us her acting abilities in several west coast plays, and appearances in 'General Hospital'.
Debra also appeared in the Broadway production of 'It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues'.
